I realised, as we are picture framers’, that I could do something special with all my late mother’s items that I had collected and cherished over the years. I wanted her to be a part of my home, my family and so to put all her items together in one place seemed the ideal thing to do. In this collage are many items, including:-

Wedding Collage
This is Bob and Sarah’s wedding collage – they were married 3 years ago. The poem around the edge was read at their wedding. Items in this include photos, text from various wedding invitations, letters to each other, Sarah’s garter, Bob’s tie pin, Engagement announcement, parts of Sarah’s tiara, shells from their honeymoon.
The frame is wrapped in photos of all her guests which make this an extremely unique and personal piece of artwork.

This is a collage made for a 60th Birthday gift. It includes about 90 items showing all aspects of Bill’s life from breeding Parakeets to his love of Queen and Jethro Tull!!!!!!!! His love of motorbikes, his work on oil rigs, his passion for palm trees . . all included in this unusual piece.
The frame include over 70 photos of Bill and his family from the age of 2 weeks old, to 59 years! Photos include his wife, children, friends and even his first dog.

The collage shown here is for a 10th Wedding anniversary and include over 80 items showing the couples story from when they met to the present day. We used approximately 100 photos of the couple, their son, relatives, friends – they are all now displayed on the wall.

Birth/Baby Collage 
We all keep the name tags from the hospital, first lock of hair, scan photo, first shoes, special gifts and cards in boxes dotted around the house, in the loft etc from the birth of our children – what do we do with it all? Hide them in boxes dotted around the house – well that was what I did. Here is an idea to keep all those items together and safe as a work of art on your wall.

School Project
We recently went into a Coleshill CE Infant School and organised a project with the year 2 children that were leaving that year. I showed the children some of the Memories In A Box collages that we have done and asked them to bring in around 20 items that reminded them of their 3 years at the school.
A week later I went into the school and helped the children make their own collages. It was amazing how they all turned out so different as you can see.
