Christening Gown

May 1st, 2010, posted in General

We were asked before Christmas to frame a 90 year old Christening Gown – in a way that the gown can be taken out a worn again by family members at a later date – no problem.  Here is the extremely delicate item.  It is sewn into the backing board so as not to damage the piece and also to allow it to be removed and worn in the future.

I have painted as long as I can remember but for a while studied sculpture at Wycombe Art College with George Mueller. I soon realised that I needed to be a painter, my first love and have continued to be fully committed and excited by any subject.
